Successful Day - Rabbit found a home

At 4pm sharp started our give away party, Choon How, Dee, DJ, Ronnie, Peilu, Thomas and of course my Mami made it a very memorable evening and even some of our things found a new owner.

In the middle of the event I got a call of someone who saw my add for our rabbit in the newspaper. They straight away picked it up and I am so happy she found a good home.

NiKo for once was allowed to eat whatever he wanted...

Movers Came - Jana's Farewell Event is over

Close to 10 am the movers stepped into our house and within a few hours they created out of a mess a cardboard maze.

As Farewell Event Jana's whole class was invited to Wild Wild Wet in Pasir Ris. She had a great afternoon and is very happy about the ice cream machine she received as bye bye gift. Thanks to all supporting mummies and daddies!

Timetravel to York - first Willy Willy

We were not expecting to have a Sunday with no program but after finding a house so fast, we didn't need to go for any 'open houses' today. We decided to drive to York, which turned out to be a well preserved old town. On top of that we could witness a Willy Willy (similar to this one willy-willy-kimberley-sm.jpg) emerging and running away, that was impressive.

WE GOT THE HOUSE !!!

Hurray! I am more than happy and very excited to let you all know that we got the house we were looking at. It has several separate common areas, formal lounge, family lounge, formal dining, meal, games room, bar, office, workshop and a huge alfresco and I am very sure everyone will find space. The whole house is surrounded by palms which is a perfect combination of having plants, natural shadow and romantic rustling with little maintenance effort. Further there is the possibility to have an own garden in front of the house. So once I am confident in managing the household, I can start to grow some veggies. Guess in my excitement I could carry on and on describing the house :-).

Now all the finances have to be settled first and that will require quiet some effort and cooperation.

Thanks to everyone who makes this happen, it is a fantastic experience when dreams come true and I wish everyone could go through such a nice shivering in comfort time, alt least once.

Caravan bought - Flights booked

I am very happy that Dimirtrije liked the caravan as well and that we are buying it. It will be a great second home for the kids for the first few weeks and later for weekends. Today we will get some equipment for it. Strange imagination not to sit in a plane to go for holiday... just sit in the car and off you go.

It is done I booked the last flights for us as Singapore PRs:
31.01.2012 19:45 from Singapore 01.02.2012 01:00 in Perth (BA7378). It's a strange feeling!

For the house we have a second viewing on Friday and if we still like it, we will put in an offer, which hopefully gets accepted.

This is the view from our current room, nice sky and river, but no window, plenty of traffic and terribly unfriendly staff.

Dimitrije's Visa approved... plans carry on

Finally Dimitrije's Visa got approved and he is now legally working in Perth. His first official working day was yesterday and he is very excited about it.

In the meanwhile, Mami, Bappi and I are trying to settle the things in Perth, find a house, find a car, find a solution until we can move into the new house. At the moment it looks like we would spend a few weeks in a Caravan which later will be great for traveling. Of course we are also looking into other solutions.

Lady-Jass Farewell Dinner

On monthly bases I went for a Jass-Evening where we played Coiffeure and maintained a Piggy-bank. When someone is leaving the group we use the money for a nice dinner. This time it's my turn to leave and we had the dinner in a Japanese Restaurant followed by an ice cream at Ben & Jerry. Thank you Denise, Susanna and Rachel (from left) for the great time.

Getting Nervous - But the preparations go on

Our 457 visa is still pending, most likely due to my new passport which made my name change complete. So far my mother and I planned to go to Perth next weekend to look for a house. But if the visa is still pending by next Friday we have to rethink everything :-(. Even my father intends to join us in Perth Mid January. So please all friends and readers cross your fingers, that this Visa goes finally through.

In the meanwhile the preparations go on. We sorted all small cloths out, still hoping an new baby will soon get on the way. Raw wood is not allowed to bring to Australia so we painted today NiKo's new wooden train tracks.
